2022’s Top 100 LA Comics to Watch (40-21)

40. Seth Meyers

Oh no, not again! Seth Meyers is funny and hosts one hell of a late night show, but he definitely has too many credits. I’m trying to lift up the little guy. I will fix this the second I have some free time.

39. Matt Lockwood

This is the part of the list where I work in all the door guys at the World-Famous Comedy Store who I failed to rank last time. That failure was mine, not theirs. I’m not even doing it for spots. I just don’t want to get dragged into the parking lot and knocked the fuck out by some of the most promising, legitimately the funniest comedians I know; one of whom being Matt Daddy Lockwood who is funny as fuck.

38. Darrius Bennet

He used to get up a lot on a show I used to help produce. Hilarious dude. Nice guy. Big things for Darrius.

37. Guam Felix

Admittedly I haven’t always been the funniest comic as seen in my clip from Helium in Portland where I do the bit about deviled eggs which you can watch here, but Guam has been wonderfully encouraging towards me during pivotal stages in my development and he’s frankly an underrated gem of a person who does most fire crowd work of anyone I know.

36. Quincy Weekley

Technically, Quincy works the phones, but according to the mole I have on the inside, he’s considered a part of the door guy family. He’s a great comic, great emcee and I love seeing him around.

30. Jessie Johnson

Jessie Johnson might be the best trumpet player in the LA comedy scene which she definitely used to her advantage. Super funny comic.

27. Austin Train

Not only is Austin Train funny, but he’s also the final World-Famous Comedy Store door guy work-in on this list. Nothing but buckets from here on out.

Let me take a moment to introduce you to Dan Green. He is the funny Australian I’ve seen all over town.

25. Margaux Leigh Hamilton

She’s funny, has good energy, can go from zany to vulnerable and back with a flip of a switch. 2022 is your year Margaux.

23. Vince Caldera

He hosts a mic at a hot dog place in Eagle Rock. Really funny guy even though him and his friends shit on me for eating guacamole with a fork. I love guacamole, but not as much as I love deviled eggs. I have a bit about it which you can watch here.

22. Felicia Folkes

Once Felicia leveled the room at Chatterbox. I am envious of how effortlessly hilarious she is. It’s frustrating cause I put in a lot of work to be this funny.

Paige Weldon is incredibly smart, insurmountably funny and a very cool person. Who the hell could rank higher than a comedian who knows a thing or two about bringing the heat? Click next to find out.
